Daniel Wisdom Hub was founded and built by Akintunde Daniel — a Nigerian developer and wisdom enthusiast passionate about personal growth, productivity, and the power of words.

Every quote, article and feature on this platform reflects a genuine belief that wisdom shared is wisdom multiplied.

📋 What We Collect

• Saved quotes — stored locally on your device only
• App preferences — theme, font, font size, notifications (stored locally)
• Anonymous device ID — a randomly generated identifier (not linked to your name or identity) used to track which paid lessons you've unlocked
• Push notification token — collected by OneSignal only when you opt in
• Reading streak — stored locally on your device
• Anonymised usage data — collected via Google Analytics (page views, general device/location info)

We do not collect your name, email, location, or any personal identifying information unless you contact us directly.

📦 How We Use Your Data

• To personalise your experience (theme, font, saved quotes)
• To send you daily wisdom notifications (only if you opt in)
• To improve the app based on general usage patterns

We never sell, trade, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

🔔 Push Notifications

Push notifications are powered by OneSignal. When you enable notifications, OneSignal generates an anonymous device token. We use this only to send you daily wisdom quotes.

You can disable notifications at any time from the Settings panel in the app, or from your browser settings.

🍪 Cookies & Local Storage

This app uses browser localStorage (not cookies) to store your preferences and saved quotes entirely on your own device. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly share it.

We do not use tracking cookies. We do use Google Analytics to understand general, anonymised usage patterns (see below) — this does not identify you personally.

📊 Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how people use the app — which pages are viewed, how often, and general device/location info (e.g. country, browser type). This data is aggregated and is not used to personally identify you.

You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

🔗 Third-Party Services

• Firebase / Google Cloud — hosts our quotes, articles, trending topics and lesson content, and stores a random anonymous device ID used only to track lesson unlocks (firebase.google.com/support/privacy)
• Google Analytics — anonymised usage statistics (policies.google.com/privacy)
• OneSignal — push notification delivery (onesignal.com/privacy)
• Unsplash — background images (unsplash.com/privacy)
• Google Fonts — typography (policies.google.com/privacy)
• WhatsApp — if you choose to notify us about a lesson payment, this opens a WhatsApp chat with the details you send; that conversation is subject to WhatsApp's own privacy policy (whatsapp.com/legal/privacy-policy)

These services have their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review them.

👶 Children's Privacy

Daniel Wisdom Hub is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
